Greater Noida West, 26 December 2024: Chaos erupted at Swastham Hospital near Delhi when a sudden fire broke out, rapidly spreading to the hospital’s first floor and several parked vehicles. Videos shared on social media captured the intense flames and vehicles burning as hospital staff and locals worked to control the situation.
The quick response from the hospital staff and nearby residents prevented the fire from escalating further. The incident was particularly concerning due to a play school located next to the hospital. Fortunately, firefighters managed to contain the flames in time, and all children were safely evacuated, averting a potential disaster.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. A nearby transformer has raised suspicions of possible electrical negligence, though investigators are exploring all possible causes, including accidental factors.
