BJP-Akali Tie-Up Imminent as Amit Shah Asserts NDA Victory in Punjab

Home Minister forecasts political shift in state while criticizing opponent parties over governance failures

by TheReportingTimes

New Delhi, Oct 22: A strategic realignment in Punjab’s political landscape appears imminent following public comments by Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserting that the NDA is slated to take power in the state. Addressing a gathering in New Delhi, Shah declared that the electorate in Punjab has decided to install an NDA government in the upcoming assembly contest, effectively validating ongoing back-room negotiations between the BJP and regional Akali leadership.

In addition to hinting at the coalition strategy, Shah delivered a scathing criticism of both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party. He warned AAP leadership that its governance model would be rejected by the public, while taking aim at the Congress party’s political trajectory. The statements mark a decisive push by central BJP leadership to position the NDA as the primary alternative in Punjab.
