BJP STRUCTURAL REVAMP SETS STAGE FOR UPCOMNG STATE ELECTIONS

Fresh appointments combine experienced veterans with new leadership faces

New Delhi, August 17: The central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party has formalized its national organizational framework under party chief Nitin Nabin, introducing a comprehensive mix of fresh appointments and returning senior leaders. Announced on Monday, the official line-up arrives seven months into Nabin’s tenure as the party’s youngest national president. The restructured leadership group aims to drive the party’s ground strategy and political outreach ahead of major legislative elections scheduled early next year.

“This national office-bearer team stands fully prepared to execute our political agenda with absolute unity and dedication,” declared party national general secretary Vinod Tawde following the announcement. “We are focusing on strengthening our ground presence while respecting the diverse socio-political landscape of the country.”

The organizational chart brings significant updates to key roles, with Union minister Piyush Goyal taking responsibility as party treasurer and Anil Baluni retaining his position as national media in-charge. Former Union minister Smriti Irani returns to core organizational work alongside Ram Madhav, joining a general secretariat team that features former Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb, Satish Poonia, Harish Dwivedi, Gajendra Patel, and Sanjay Bhatia.

Strategic continuity remains visible in the retention of Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal, both of whom have steered election management in states like Bihar, Kerala, and West Bengal. Their experience is complemented by dedicated regional appointments, including Tarun Chugh receiving charge of organisational affairs in Punjab. The leadership framework incorporates twelve women leaders overall, alongside broad social representation through appointments such as Rajya Sabha MP Kavita Patidar and Bulandshahr MP Bhola Singh among the sixteen national secretaries.

The reshuffle makes way for fresh perspectives by relieving several outgoing leaders of their central roles, including long-term general secretary Arun Singh, Radha Mohan Das Agrawal, and former Uttarakhand in-charge Dushyant Gautam. Prominent figures like former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje hold key positions within the wider lineup. Under Nabin’s guidance, the renewed team assumes charge with an immediate focus on electoral readiness and organizational expansion.
