Boiler Blast Sparks Firecracker Factory Inferno in Gujarat, 12 Dead

by TheReportingTimes

Banaskantha, Gujarat, April 1: A massive fire at a firecracker factory on Dhanuva Road in Deesa, Banaskantha district, claimed 12 lives on Tuesday afternoon. Officials said the victims, all factory workers, were burned alive in the blaze, while several others sustained injuries and were rushed to the nearest hospital.

Fire brigade teams responded quickly and battled the flames before bringing the situation under control. However, the intensity of the fire caused the first floor of the factory to collapse, complicating rescue efforts.

Authorities attributed the accident to a boiler explosion, which triggered the fire and spread rapidly across the premises. The blast caused panic in the area, prompting a large-scale response from Deesa Taluka Police and local administration, who remain on-site to manage the aftermath.
