New Delhi, Feb 19: Authorities initiated emergency evacuations at 12 schools in Noida and three in Delhi on Thursday following a series of bomb threat emails sent during the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations. Police officials stated that the messages arrived during active testing hours, causing immediate concern among students, staff, and parents.
Local law enforcement teams, accompanied by bomb disposal units and dog squads, arrived at the affected campuses to carry out thorough inspections. In Delhi, the Fire Services confirmed that threats were directed at CRPF Public School and St Thomas School in Dwarka, along with DAV Centenary Public School in Paschim Enclave. Rescue teams and fire tenders remained on standby at these locations as a precautionary measure.
Officials affirmed that preliminary checks yielded no suspicious objects, though comprehensive sanitization drives continued throughout the afternoon. Cyber crime units have been alerted to investigate the digital trail of the emails to determine their origin.
