Chandigarh, Dec 25: Haryana continued to reel under cold weather on Thursday, with several districts recording low minimum temperatures amid foggy conditions, the local meteorological department said.
Hisar recorded a minimum temperature of 5.6 degrees Celsius, while Narnaul was colder at 5 degrees Celsius. Dense fog was reported in parts of the state, leading to poor visibility during early morning hours.
“Cold conditions continued across Haryana, with fog affecting visibility in many areas,” a weather department official said. “Temperatures remained close to or slightly above normal in some districts.”
Ambala recorded a minimum temperature of 7.9 degrees Celsius, about one degree above normal. Karnal registered a low of 6.8 degrees Celsius.
Rohtak and Bhiwani recorded minimum temperatures of 6.8 and 6 degrees Celsius, respectively, while Sirsa logged a low of 6.2 degrees Celsius.
Officials said cold conditions are likely to continue, with fog expected to persist during night and early morning hours in several parts of the state.
