NANDGARH (Haryana), July 19 — Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta celebrated her 51st birthday on Saturday at her ancestral village of Nandgarh in Haryana’s Julana, marking her first birthday since taking office earlier this year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several top Union ministers extended birthday wishes to Gupta, who was born on July 19, 1974.
“Best wishes to Delhi chief minister, Rekha Gupta ji, on her birthday. Rising through the ranks, she has always remained active in serving Delhi. As chief minister, she has undertaken numerous initiatives for the city’s welfare. May she be blessed with a long and healthy life,” Modi posted on X.
Responding to the Prime Minister’s message, Gupta expressed gratitude and said his “ever-inspiring” guidance continues to strengthen her resolve. “As chief minister, I remain resolutely committed to translating your vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ into meaningful outcomes that positively impact every resident of the city,” she wrote on X.
Union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari also conveyed their greetings, praising Gupta’s grassroots connect and leadership.
Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini and local BJP leaders welcomed Gupta in Julana, where she is scheduled to participate in several events through the day.
Gupta, a long-time BJP worker, became Delhi’s chief minister in February after years of organisational work and electoral leadership in the national capital.
