FATEHABAD, July 4: A 65-year-old man was killed by his younger brother during a drunken altercation in Nehla village on Wednesday night, police said.
The deceased, identified as Raghubir Singh alias Rodu, reportedly engaged in a heated argument with his younger brother, Satbir Singh, before the situation escalated.
“Raghubir, who was in an inebriated state, began abusing Satbir. In a fit of rage, Satbir attacked him with a sharp-edged agricultural tool, leading to his death on the spot,” said a spokesperson of Fatehabad police.
Police arrested Satbir from the scene of the crime, and the victim’s body was sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
