Fatal shooting in Jamalpur Park

Mundian resident killed after verbal dispute

by TheReportingTimes

Ludhiana, Jan 21: Violence broke out in a local Jamalpur park this afternoon resulting in the death of a 20-year-old resident of Mundian village.

The incident occurred following a brief but heated argument between two individuals, which escalated when one party opened fire.

Pradeep Kumar Billa, the deceased, was reportedly at the park when the unidentified shooter confronted him.

While the exact cause of the friction remains under investigation by the local police, officials confirmed that the argument turned physical just moments before the weapon was drawn. Billa died on the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

Law enforcement personnel have cordoned off the park and are collecting forensic evidence to identify the perpetrator.

Officers are also looking into the background of the victim to see if there were any prior threats or ongoing conflicts that might have triggered the afternoon’s events.

The body has been moved for medical examination as part of the standard legal procedure.

“He was walking in the park today when a youth came there and the two got into an argument after which he shot him,” a witness at the scene directly said.
