Mohali/Moga, Feb 16: Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Finance Minister Harpal Cheema will spearhead a large-scale public rally in Moga today as Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann remains under medical supervision. The Chief Minister was rushed to a Mohali hospital on Sunday after his health worsened during an official visit to Sangrur for Shivratri celebrations.

The Chief Minister’s condition is described as stable by hospital authorities. Doctors maintained that he is receiving necessary care after experiencing high blood pressure and related discomfort. While he recuperates, the party has moved forward with its planned mobilization at Killi Chahla village, where tens of thousands of supporters are anticipated to gather.

The rally serves as a focal point for the party’s ‘War against Drugs’ campaign. Local leaders and MLAs have coordinated extensively with Village Defence Committees to ensure a strong presence at the venue. This public demonstration of support precedes a critical strategy session involving all party legislators.

“The momentum of our campaign for a healthier Punjab will continue unabated,” Finance Minister Harpal Cheema asserted when discussing the rally’s objectives.

Political activity remains high despite the Chief Minister’s hospitalization. The party is currently navigating internal transitions, including the rumored selection of two Deputy Chief Ministers. Manish Sisodia is scheduled to lead a follow-up meeting with party officials and halqa incharges in Moga to coordinate these legislative and administrative shifts.

The Chief Minister’s sudden illness forced a revision of his itinerary, which originally included a trip to Fazilka to meet with the family of minister Aman Arora. For now, he remains in the care of specialists who noted that his diagnostic tests are ongoing to ensure a full recovery.
