Gold Hits All-Time High at Rs 93,074 After Trump Tariff Exemption

Chandigarh, April 11: Gold prices surged to a record Rs 93,074 per 10 grams in bullion markets on April 11, following former US President Donald Trump’s 90-day tariff exemption. The sudden jump of Rs 2,913 stunned buyers ahead of the wedding season.

Silver also saw a sharp spike, climbing Rs 1,958 to reach Rs 92,627 per kg. With GST, 24 carat gold now costs Rs 95,866, while silver stands at Rs 95,405.

According to India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) data, 23 carat gold rose by Rs 2,901 to Rs 92,701, 22 carat gold increased by Rs 2,668 to Rs 85,256, and 18 carat gold surged by Rs 2,185 to Rs 69,806 per 10 grams.

These rates exclude GST, and local market prices may vary by Rs 1,000 to 2,000 across cities.
