Horror on Jaipur Highway: 12 Dead After Dumper Mows Down Vehicles

by TheReportingTimes

Jaipur, November 3 — What began as a routine afternoon on Jaipur’s busy Loha Mandi stretch turned into chaos and carnage when a speeding dumper truck went out of control, smashing into vehicles one after another over a 300-metre stretch.

By the time the dust settled, twelve lives were lost, and as many others lay injured — some battling for life at the SMS Hospital’s trauma centre.

Eyewitnesses said the empty dumper, coming from Road No. 14, rammed into cars, two-wheelers and autorickshaws in a terrifying chain of collisions near the Loha Mandi petrol pump.

Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Soni confirmed the toll and said police teams immediately reached the site to divert traffic and clear mangled vehicles from the road.

Monday’s accident comes just a day after another deadly crash in Phalodi, where 15 people died when a tempo traveller hit a stationary trailer truck — marking two back-to-back major accidents in Rajasthan.
