LUDHIANA, OCT 4: Violent crime in the Ladhowal area of Ludhiana claimed the life of former Mannewal village sarpanch Navjeet Singh Neetu on Saturday evening after unidentified gunmen opened fire on South City Road. According to police reports, two men riding a motorcycle blocked the victim’s path while he was en route to his land, firing several rounds before escaping from the location. Bystanders alerted local authorities, who confirmed the victim passed away at the site due to critical bullet injuries.
Police officials declared that a comprehensive investigation is underway to cover all potential motives behind the murder, focusing closely on documented land disagreements in the victim’s native village. Law enforcement personnel confirmed that eight individuals have been booked in connection with the crime.
