NEW DELHI, AUGUST 16: Top constitutional authorities and political figures assembled at the ‘Sadaiv Atal’ memorial in New Delhi on Sunday to observe the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu offered floral tributes, joined by Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and BJP National President Nitin Nabin alongside key cabinet members.

 

The memorial service highlighted Vajpayee’s decades-long parliamentary career and his stewardship of the country during periods of significant geopolitical and economic shifts.

 

“He was not merely a political leader but an exceptional orator and statesman whose devotion to national progress earned him cross-party admiration,” party officials maintained during the commemorative event.

 

Serving three terms as Prime Minister, Vajpayee oversaw major developments in infrastructure expansion, foreign policy recalibration, and defense readiness. The legendary political figure passed away on August 16, 2018, leaving behind a lasting institutional legacy that is honored annually by leaders and citizens alike.
