Chandigarh, Sept 25: Temperature variations continued across the Tricity as minimum temperatures recorded a notable rise, led by Mohali where night readings reached 26.1°C following a 2°C increase over twenty-four hours. The reading made Mohali the warmest night location among the three sister cities, while daytime maximums hovered at 35.4°C.
In Chandigarh, overnight conditions similarly warmed up to 25°C, exceeding the normal threshold by 1.6°C. Panchkula registered a minimum temperature of 23.9°C after a 3.1°C jump, yet remained cooler than neighboring areas. Daytime maximums in Panchkula fell to 32.6°C, representing the lowest daytime figure recorded across the immediate region.
All three urban areas remained dry without fresh precipitation. Official rainfall figures show Chandigarh’s seasonal cumulative total holding at 697.6 mm against the seasonal standard. Forecasters indicate that while clear to partly cloudy conditions are anticipated initially, changing weather patterns may bring scattered rain or thunderstorm activity to parts of the region over the weekend, accompanied by a projected moderation in day and night temperatures.
