Mumbai, Oct 19: The Mumbai Crime Branch assumed control of the investigation into the recent shooting incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car. Officials reported that unidentified assailants opened fire on the vehicle in the Juhu area on Sunday evening, leaving the driver and another passenger injured while the actor remained unhurt.
The case was transferred from the local police station to the specialized Crime Branch unit to ensure a thorough inquiry. Investigators declared that they are examining every possible motive and lead, including a viral social media statement wherein the Lawrence Bishnoi gang purportedly took responsibility for the assault. Police officials noted that the credibility of this online claim is still being verified.
According to police sources, formal charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act have been registered against three unknown individuals. Authorities asserted that locating and apprehending the fleeing suspects constitutes the central focus of the active investigation.
