Pro-Chancellor presents ₹2 lakh award to BBA student for World Cup success

Mohali, Feb 19:  An atmosphere filled with pride and celebration – Chitkara University welcomed back its standout cricketer, Vihaan Malhotra, on February 19. The vice-captain of the Indian Under-19 team was recognized for his leadership in the recent ICC World Cup triumph over England, which marked India’s sixth title in the prestigious tournament.

Pro-Chancellor Dr. Madhu Chitkara declared that Malhotra’s achievement is a victory for the entire university community. She affirmed that his journey reflects the perseverance and dedication required to succeed on the world stage. The university head stated that the young leader’s composure during high-stakes matches makes him an ideal role model for his peers.

An emotional Malhotra addressed the gathering of students and staff, stating that returning to campus as a world champion felt incredibly special. He maintained that the encouragement he received from his friends and academic guides helped him navigate the difficulties of being a student-athlete. He asserted that he remains committed to his dual goals of academic progress and sporting excellence.
