Mohali, Jan 21: Smarters Music Studio opened its doors in Mohali today, signaling a shift in how music and film content is produced in North India as the technology-driven facility aims to reduce the regional industry’s reliance on distant production centers by offering comprehensive post-production services locally.
The studio features a specialized DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panel, making it the only music-focused facility in the region to offer such high-level visual color grading. This addition allows for a seamless workflow where both audio mastering and visual finishing can occur under one roof.
During the inauguration, actor Gurpreet Ghuggi mentioned the importance of having world-class infrastructure available to local artists. He was joined by various directors and producers from the Punjabi film and music sectors who observed the new technical setups.
“Smarters Music Studio represents a new chapter for Punjab’s creative industry,” Ghuggi said. “The level of technology, sound design and visual post-production available here matches global standards.”
The facility is equipped for a variety of tasks, ranging from dubbing and podcast production to complex stereo and Dolby Atmos mixing. These services are supported by premium monitoring systems and professional-grade acoustics designed for high-fidelity output.
Sukh Brar, a prominent music producer and the visionary behind the studio, noted that the project fulfills a need for international-level tools within the state. He expressed pride in providing a space where local creators can access the same technology used in global cinema.
“Our aim is to provide artists, filmmakers and content creators with a space where creativity is supported by world-class infrastructure,” Brar said. “With this launch in Mohali, we are proud to contribute to the growth of North India’s music, film and OTT ecosystem.”
The strategic location in Mohali is expected to serve as a central point for the evolving entertainment landscape in Punjab and Chandigarh.
