Jammu, Nov 13: Pargat Singh, legislator and Padma Shri awardee, attended his first official review meeting as the newly appointed Secretary In-Charge of Jammu and Kashmir, party sources said.
The session was convened by Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, AICC General Secretary responsible for the region. Also in attendance were PCC President Tariq Kara, AICC General Secretary, and Smt. Divya Maderna.
According to party officials, the meeting focused on discussions around the organizational creation campaign and measures to reinforce the Congress structure across Jammu and Kashmir. Singh said he felt privileged to contribute to the collective effort aimed at rebuilding and rejuvenating the party in the union territory.
The meeting marks the start of Singh’s active involvement in shaping and guiding party strategies and operations in the region, sources added.
