NEW DELHI, Dec 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence at Thursday’s Christmas service reflects his continued engagement with India’s Christian community.
In recent years, Modi has attended multiple Christian events, including an Easter programme at Sacred Heart Cathedral in 2023 and a Christmas celebration at his residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. In 2024, he also participated in a dinner hosted by Minister George Kurian and a Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India programme.
“These gatherings are important to promote dialogue and communal harmony,” said officials familiar with the events. Modi’s consistent participation signals ongoing outreach to Christians in Delhi and across the country.
