Siliguri, August 7 — Cockroach Janta Party leadership faces formal allegations in West Bengal after a police complaint accused party figures of bringing minors to a high-tension political gathering in New Delhi.
Filed at the Pradhannagar police station, the action targets party founder Abhijeet Dipke and spokesperson Sourav Das over a demonstration organized around the NEET question paper leak. Complainant Rinki Singh asserted that several young minors were placed in unsafe circumstances during the protest, which featured loud political speeches and property damage.
The legal submission urges law enforcement to invoke child protection statutes alongside provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita to address the alleged safety breaches. The complainant maintained that organizing leaders must be held accountable for placing children in surroundings susceptible to crowd instability and potential police action.
“The protest environment turned tense with instances of damage to public property reported,” the filing stated, emphasizing the safety hazards present at the site.
The petition further urges regulatory bodies to conduct a comprehensive audit of the party’s financial backing, focusing on educational grants and external funding sources. Local police officials have received the filing, while the CJP leadership has yet to publicly address the claims.
