Gurugram, May 3: Violence linked to organized crime resurfaced in Gurugram on Saturday night as armed men targeted the home of Saurabh Yadav, a coordinator linked to singer Fazilpuria. A security official identified as Kulvinder was shot twice during the confrontation and is currently undergoing intensive care at a local hospital.
The shooting occurred at Yadav’s residence, which had been under police watch due to a history of threats connected to the Deepak Nandal gang. Authorities affirmed that the attackers arrived on a motorcycle and discharged multiple rounds toward the gate where the security detail was positioned. While the gunmen successfully escaped the vicinity, investigators believe they have identified the gang responsible for the hit.
Law enforcement officials stated that the motive appears to be intimidation related to Yadav’s recent work in the music industry. “Efforts are under way to identify and arrest the accused at the earliest,” a police official asserted during a briefing on the investigation. He declared that multiple specialized teams are now working to trace the movement of the assailants across the district.
The attack has renewed public concern regarding the persistence of gang rivalries in the city. Police personnel affirmed that they are scrutinizing recent promotional projects involving Fazilpuria to determine the exact nature of the dispute. They maintained that security protocols for high-risk individuals are being reviewed in light of the injuries sustained by the responding officer.
