Ranchi, August 13: State law enforcement authorities in Jharkhand filed charges against 600 individuals following an unapproved march toward the state Assembly in Ranchi. The incident developed out of prolonged demonstrations at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, where aspirants have staged rallies seeking transparency and the cancellation of controversial recruitment tests.
The legal filings name 100 key organizers alongside 500 unnamed demonstrators following security operations along the primary Assembly approach route. In response to the unrest, security personnel installed extensive barricading and razor wire near critical government installations, though student coordinators clarified that no plans exist to target official residences directly.
“Our demands center strictly on securing an independent probe by the CBI or retired judges alongside systemic overhaul of state testing procedures,” representatives of the JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch declared regarding the scope of the movement.
The administrative response has drawn wide political reactions across the state, prompting calls for shutdowns and university-level demonstrations across student bodies. While official representatives confirm six separate rounds of dialogue have taken place between state officials and student delegations, key issues regarding exam credibility and investigative oversight remain unresolved.
