Hisar, November 7: A Haryana Police sub-inspector was brutally killed outside his home in Shamlal Dhani, Hisar, late last night after trying to stop a group of rowdy youths from disturbing his neighborhood, police said. The victim, Ramesh Kumar (57), was attached to the ADGP office in Hisar.

Police said the group initially created a disturbance and left, but returned later, shouting abuses outside Kumar’s house. When he stepped out, they attacked him with bricks and sticks, killing him instantly. “It is a shocking act of violence, and we are pursuing all leads to bring the accused to justice,” a senior officer said.

Authorities have registered a murder case and seized a car and two two-wheelers abandoned at the scene. Special police teams are working to trace the suspects, who remain at large.
