Tarn Taran, Oct 30: Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Wednesday demanded strict action against family members or relatives of gangsters who attempt to intimidate people by using their name.
During his visit to Tarn Taran, Warring alleged that the Akali Dal candidate was using threats and intimidation on behalf of a UK-based gangster, who is a close relative.
He called such tactics “dangerous for democracy” and said they must be dealt with firmly. “Unprecedented challenges need unorthodox solutions,” he said. “We will act tough once Congress forms the government.”
Warring maintained that the current state of affairs was the result of AAP’s inaction and Akali Dal’s past collusion. “Punjab deserves peace, not politics over fear,” he added.
