Ropar, March 16: The Aam Aadmi Party leadership on Sunday marked the birth anniversary of Kanshi Ram by renewing their pledge to foster a society based on equality and justice. Speaking at various events in Chandigarh and Ropar, senior leaders asserted that the path shown by the Bahujan pioneer continues to guide the state’s current welfare initiatives.
Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema declared that Kanshi Ram’s life was a testament to the power of political awareness among the marginalized. He asserted that the leader’s call for the Bahujan society to claim its rightful share in the democratic process motivated a generation of public servants. The Minister maintained that the AAP government is honoring this struggle through transparent governance and inclusive policies.
The Minister affirmed that the state’s focus on healthcare and financial assistance for women is rooted in the message of social transformation. He stated that the administration is working to ensure that every section of society receives equal opportunities. Cheema also noted that the recent success of government school students in prestigious exams is a result of the state’s commitment to providing high-quality public services to all families, regardless of their economic status.
“Kanshi Ram Ji devoted his life to taking the message of equality to the grassroots,” Cheema stated, adding that his struggle remains a source of constant inspiration.
Adding to the sentiments, AAP leader Pawan Kumar Tinu maintained that the state government is committed to protecting the dignity of the underprivileged. He declared that the party’s work in Punjab reflects the core tenets of the Bahujan movement. The leaders concluded by stating that the ongoing reforms in the legal and educational sectors are designed to bridge the gap between different strata of society, fulfilling the long-held dreams of the community’s founding thinkers.
