Ludhiana (Moti Nagar), May 31: Police have arrested two more individuals in the murder of Gurjinder Singh alias Gora (42), deepening the investigation that earlier led to the arrest of ASI Bua Singh.
The new accused are Sukhwinder Singh alias Gagan (45) of Bhamian Kalan and Avinderpal Singh alias Bunty (57) of Jamalpur. Both were allegedly present during the April 16 drinking session at Bunty’s house where Gurjinder was shot dead.
Initially labeled as an accidental death, the case took a turn after ASI Bua Singh—who failed to report the incident despite being present—was arrested. Investigators now suspect an attempted cover-up, citing efforts to hide the body.
The accused face charges under Sections 103 (murder) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
“The concealment of the body and delayed reporting strongly suggest a conspiracy,” said Additional DCP Mandeep Singh Sandhu, adding that the investigation is ongoing to establish the full sequence of events.
