Jaipur, Aug 10: On Sunday, Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy inaugurated a new 100 MW solar power plant in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur district, part of the government’s push to increase clean energy production. The facility is expected to generate approximately 200 million units of electricity annually, supplying power to several neighboring states.

“This plant is a significant step towards India’s commitment to renewable energy and combating climate change,” the minister said during the inauguration ceremony. The project, funded by a mix of government and private investments, will also create local employment opportunities.

Rajasthan, known for its abundant sunshine, has become a hub for solar energy projects, contributing significantly to the country’s renewable energy goals.
