LUCKNOW, OCT 2 — Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked Gandhi Jayanti on Friday with a visit to the Gandhi Ashram in Hazratganj, where he inspected local handloom merchandise and advocated for self-reliance through Swadeshi products.
As part of his tour of the outlet, Chief Minister Adityanath personally selected and paid for a traditional saffron gamchha while gathering details from staff regarding production and sales. He engaged with employees to assess their operational needs and urged shoppers to prioritize locally crafted items.
The visit featured moments with young children at the Ashram, to whom the Chief Minister distributed sweets and offered encouragement regarding their schooling. A delegation of state officials and party representatives—including Legislative Council members and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak—joined the Chief Minister during the public engagement.
