AAP Government Outlines Social Welfare Expansion at Sri Goindwal Sahib Gathering

CM Mann highlights ₹3,800 crore total disbursement to women, warns against opposition policy shifts

SRI GOINDWAL SAHIB — Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to financial empowerment for women during a major public address in Khandoor Sahib, highlighting the latest direct benefit transfers under state welfare initiatives.

The Chief Minister detailed that the state government released funds benefiting nearly 37 lakh women in its latest quarterly rollout, bringing total transfers under the flagship scheme to ₹3,824.87 crore. Speaking from the historic venue, Mann stated that the initiative functions as a social revolution designed to foster financial independence, supported on the ground by over 1.37 lakh registration facilitators and local Anganwadi workers who received performance incentives for their outreach efforts.

In his address, Mann contrasted his government’s governance model with previous administrations, pointing to major infrastructure investments such as expanding canal water pipelines and purchasing thermal power assets. He maintained that continued political stability would ensure the uninterrupted delivery of free power, healthcare access, and direct financial assistance to households state-wide.
