CHANDIGARH — AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu has called on SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami to provide the Punjab Police with all relevant registers and financial records concerning a woman’s extended stay at Sri Anandpur Sahib, instead of seeking an external CBI inquiry.
Speaking to media representatives, Pannu asserted that the state police require full access to guest logbooks, details of the assigned official vehicle, and records of funds disbursed to establish the complete facts. He raised questions over the origin and approval of the woman’s stay, asking who authorized her extended accommodation and covered her daily expenditures over the eight-month period.
Pannu also addressed recent statements from Shiromani Akali Dal leadership, pointing out contradictions between advising individuals to report matters to local police while simultaneously demanding a central agency probe. He maintained that providing complete records directly to state investigators remains the fastest path to establishing clarity and addressing public concerns surrounding the holy site.
