New Delhi, Jan 25: President Droupadi Murmu stated that the active involvement of women is essential for the creation of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ while addressing the nation on the eve of the 77th Republic Day. She noted that the increasing presence of women in the electoral process has brought a vital new energy to the Indian democratic system.

“Increasing participation of women in voting adds a powerful dimension to our Republic,” the President said. She mentioned that the concept of ‘Nari Shakti’ would be a primary force in the country’s development goals.

The President also connected the spirit of modern patriotism to the country’s heritage, noting that ‘Vande Mataram’ serves as a prayer to the divine form of Bharat Mata and continues to inspire citizens. She said the core of the nation remains strong due to its constitutional values.

Addressing the country’s financial status, she mentioned that India’s progress remains a global exception. “Despite global uncertainties, India is recording continuous economic growth and on track to become the world’s third-largest economy,” Murmu said. She further noted that the country’s focus on self-reliance has already begun yielding significant results in strategic sectors.
