Mild Tremors Felt in Rohtak After Midnight Quake

by TheReportingTimes

Rohtak, July 17: Mild tremors were felt in Rohtak early Thursday after an earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale struck shortly after midnight. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) recorded the quake at 12:46 am.

Officials confirmed that there were no casualties or reports of property damage.

This is the third earthquake to hit Haryana in under 10 days. On Friday, a 3.7-magnitude quake had struck near Jhajjar, Rohtak’s neighbouring district. A day before that, a stronger earthquake of magnitude 4.4 had also shaken Jhajjar, sending tremors across Delhi and surrounding areas.

Authorities are monitoring seismic activity closely, though officials said there is no immediate cause for alarm.
