Youth allegedly poisoned to death by friend in Ludhiana

Amargarh, Aug 15:  — A youth from Amargarh village was allegedly poisoned to death by a close friend, prompting the Samrala police to register a murder case and arrest the accused on Wednesday.

Family members rushed the victim to a hospital after the incident, but doctors declared him dead. The arrested suspect, Jujhar Singh, is being interrogated to determine the motive behind the killing.

“We are investigating if the murder was committed solely by the accused,” Samrala SHO Pavitar Singh said, adding that the body was handed over to the family following a post-mortem examination. The motive for the crime remains unclear, and the police are continuing their investigation.
