Amritsar, 2 Sept — In the wake of the worsening flood situation in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will convene a high-level meeting on flood management via video conferencing from Amritsar. Cabinet ministers and senior officials are scheduled to participate.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister will conduct a detailed review of ongoing relief and rescue operations across the state. He is expected to direct officials to provide immediate assistance to the most affected districts and ensure necessary resources reach flood-hit villages.
Officials will also discuss future strategies to mitigate the impact of floods and safeguard the population. The meeting aims to strengthen coordination among departments and improve the effectiveness of the state’s flood response measures.
