AMBALA, September 15— Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij on Sunday announced that the government will soon resume acquiring approximately 2,600 acres of land for the expansion of the Saha Industrial Area, a move aimed at boosting regional industrial development.
Vij said the process, earlier paused due to elections, will now be expedited to develop a new industrial area and logistics park on the proposed land. “The development of the industrial area, logistic park and freight terminal in close proximity will not only provide comprehensive facilities to industries but also strengthen the regional industrial infrastructure, generating thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities,” he noted.
The minister added that the railways is also advancing plans to establish a freight terminal nearby, further enhancing connectivity and industrial efficiency.
While reviewing arrangements in Ambala, Vij directed the deputy commissioner to immediately restart the land acquisition process. He also mentioned that several farmers had expressed willingness to provide their land and had already applied through the e-Bhoomi portal.
The expansion of Saha Industrial Area is expected to attract new industries and create a significant employment boost in Ambala and surrounding districts, aligning with the state government’s broader push for industrial growth.
