LeT admits Muridke camp in Pakistan’s Punjab destroyed in Op Sindoor

New Delhi, September 19: A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander has admitted that India’s Operation Sindoor destroyed the group’s Markaz Taiba camp at Muridke in Pakistan’s Punjab, exposing Islamabad’s repeated denials of the strikes.

In a viral video, LeT commander Qaasim is seen standing amid the rubble of the demolished facility, acknowledging its role in training militants. “I am standing in front of the Markaz Taiba in Muridke. It was destroyed in the attack. We will rebuild it and make it even bigger. From here, big names in Mujahideen got trained and achieved Faiz (victory),” he declared, vowing to revive the terror hub.

The revelation comes days after Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, in another video, confirmed that Operation Sindoor struck JeM’s Markaz Subhan Allah headquarters in Bahawalpur, killing family members of Masood Azhar. “After sacrificing everything, on May 7, the family members of Masood Azhar were torn into pieces in Bahawalpur,” Kashmiri said, validating India’s assertion that key terror infrastructure was hit.

In a separate clip, Qaasim went further, calling on youth to enroll in the Daura-e-Suffa programme at the site, which provides combat training and jihadi indoctrination.

Markaz Taiba, established in 2000, has long been regarded as LeT’s most significant training centre, offering arms and physical training as well as radicalisation programmes for recruits from both Pakistan and abroad.
