Chamoli, October 20: Badrinath Dham came alive with festive colours as the temple dedicated to Lord Badri Vishal was decorated with 12 quintals of marigold flowers on Diwali. The Badri-Kedar Temple Committee supervised the decoration, continuing its long-standing tradition of adorning the shrine before winter sets in.
As darkness descended, the temple complex shimmered with thousands of earthen lamps, while special prayers were offered at the adjoining Mata Lakshmi temple. Devotees and locals participated enthusiastically, celebrating the festival with deep reverence.
Officials said pilgrim inflow has crossed 6,000 per day this week, ahead of the temple’s closure on November 25 for the winter season.
