Cold, Fog Grip Haryana

Chandigarh, Dec 27: Haryana witnessed a sharp dip in night temperatures on Saturday as cold weather tightened its grip across the state, with dense fog affecting visibility in several regions, the meteorological department said.

Gurugram was the coldest place in Haryana, recording a minimum temperature of 4.9 degrees Celsius.

“Minimum temperatures have fallen across most districts, while foggy conditions were reported during the morning hours,” a Met department official said.

Hisar recorded a low of 5 degrees Celsius, while Narnaul registered 5.5 degrees Celsius. Bhiwani saw a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius, and Rohtak recorded 7.2 degrees Celsius.

Ambala was relatively warmer at 9.3 degrees Celsius, about three degrees above normal. Karnal recorded a low of 8 degrees Celsius, two degrees above the seasonal average, while Sirsa registered a minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius.

Weather officials said cold conditions are expected to continue, advising commuters to exercise caution due to reduced visibility during early morning hours.
