Shimla, Sept 12: A significant administrative reshuffle has been executed by the Himachal Pradesh High Court, affecting 15 judicial officers in various postings across the state. Under the new orders, Ajay Mehta shifts from his role as District and Sessions Judge (Forests) in Shimla to serve as District and Sessions Judge, Sirmaur, located at Nahan. In another key deployment, Aman Sood assumes the office of District and Sessions Judge, Kangra, at Dharamsala, with Madan Kumar taking over as Principal Judge, Family Court, Mandi.
Official orders maintained that senior judicial postings in Una and Kullu have seen direct exchanges, placing Naresh Kumar as District and Sessions Judge in Kullu and Prakash Chand Rana as District and Sessions Judge in Una. Further strengthening the district judiciary, Rajesh Chauhan has been designated as District and Sessions Judge, Una, while Abira Basu moves from Sarkaghat to head the Kinnaur district court as District and Sessions Judge.
In an executive transition, the services of Praveen Chauhan, Presiding Officer of the Labour Court-cum-Industrial Tribunal in Dharamsala, have been transferred to the state government for posting as Principal Secretary (Law). Additional District and Sessions Judges including Gaurav Mahajan, Kanta Verma, Arvind Kumar, Parveen Garg, Yajuvender Singh, Vivek Khanal, and Amit Mandyal have also received fresh postings spanning Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Sarkaghat, and Nahan to streamline judicial functions across the region.
