Barnala/Chandigarh, Feb 19: National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to arrive in Punjab on February 28 to lead a major party rally in Barnala. In preparation for the visit, the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) has appointed veteran leader Hardyal Singh Kamboj to manage the comprehensive arrangements for the event.

The decision to appoint Kamboj as the district in-charge for the rally was made under the guidance of party leadership, including Punjab affairs in-charge Bhupesh Baghel. General Secretary Sandeep Singh Sandhu issued the official orders, which mandate that Kamboj immediately convene sessions with the Barnala District Congress Committee to streamline the planning process.

A team of co-coordinators, comprising Satnam Singh Satta, Rajinder Deepa, and Kamarhardeep, has been assigned to support the former Rajpura legislator. The party aims to use the Barnala stage to demonstrate its organizational strength ahead of upcoming political challenges.

Hardyal Singh Kamboj asserted that the momentum is currently in favor of his party. “The people of Punjab have realized that only Congress can effectively improve the state’s condition,” he declared. He further maintained that residents are joining the party in significant numbers, which he believes will be reflected in the turnout at the February 28 rally.

Kamboj affirmed that he is dedicated to meeting the expectations of Raja Warring and the central leadership. He stated that the rally is expected to break previous records and serve as a turning point for the party’s stature in the region.
