New Delhi, March 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finnish President Alexander Stubb have affirmed their shared commitment to global peace, noting that dialogue remains the only viable path to stability. During their high-level talks on Thursday, the two leaders discussed the escalating situations in West Asia and Ukraine, calling for an immediate cessation of violence.

The Prime Minister declared that India would continue to provide full support to any initiative aimed at restoring peace. He asserted that the foundation of the India-Finland relationship is built upon a mutual respect for international norms and diplomatic engagement.

“Be it Ukraine or West Asia, we will continue to support the swift end of conflicts and every effort towards peace,” Mr. Modi stated.

Beyond security concerns, the visit marked a significant milestone in technical cooperation. The two nations have formally agreed to treat their collaboration in sustainability and digital innovation as a strategic partnership. This initiative aims to synchronize efforts in clean energy and next-generation telecommunications.

“This agreement will further strengthen trade, investment, and technology cooperation between India and Finland,” the Prime Minister maintained.

President Stubb, who arrived on Wednesday, seeks to broaden the scope of bilateral trade and critical technology during his stay. Mr. Modi noted that the upcoming trade framework between India and the European Union would further facilitate these economic ambitions, ensuring a more robust partnership in the years ahead.
