Ludhaina, March 8: Ludhiana-based fashion designer and ultra-cyclist Sameera Auluck has joined an elite group of global runners by completing the Abbott World Marathon Majors. The mother of three secured the prestigious six-star medal after crossing the finish line in Tokyo on March 1, 2026, marking the conclusion of a journey that spanned six of the world’s most renowned marathons.

Auluck’s path to the Six Star Finisher title included successful runs in Berlin, London, Chicago, New York, and Boston. Speaking on International Women’s Day, she affirmed that women possess immense strength and can achieve their aspirations through commitment and the support of their families. She noted that the journey was defined more by resilience and balance than by the physical miles covered.

“This journey, for me, is not just about medals or miles — it’s about resilience, balance and choosing to show up every single day,” Auluck stated upon her return to Ludhiana. She maintained that the sky is the limit for women who are dedicated to their goals.

Before transitioning to competitive running in 2021, Auluck was a decorated ultra-cyclist. She earned the “Super Randonneur” title from the Audax Club Parisien after completing a series of long-distance rides ranging from 200 km to 600 km. In 2020, she completed a 1,460-km “Gate to Gate” ride from New Delhi to Mumbai in less than a week.

The athlete’s running career also includes gold medal performances at the Tuffman Goa Beach and Kasauli Hills half marathons. Auluck declared that her endurance journey, which began with cycling, has evolved into a deep passion for running that allowed her to conquer the global major circuit within three years.
