Opposition Leaders Condemn Kangana Ranaut’s Statements Targeting Youth Agitation

Calls student demonstrators as "Generation Gutter" and attacked personal background

NEW DELHI, July 29— Political opposition leaders demanded accountability after Bharatiya Janata Party MP Kangana Ranaut targeted young citizens protesting at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The Mandi representative faced widespread condemnation after referring to student demonstrators as “Generation Gutter” and attacking their personal background and conduct.

The controversy follows previous online statements by the MP criticizing street demonstrations and defending law enforcement measures.

“The way our daughters and children were harassed, beaten and mistreated during this protest, being a woman herself, how does she not feel the slightest remorse?” Congress leader Bhai Jagtap stated. “I find this truly astonishing.”

Joining the criticism, AIMIM leader Waris Pathan questioned the parliamentarian’s understanding of student concerns while asking prime ministerial intervention.

“If Kangana Ranaut has used such words, then it is highly condemnable,” Waris Pathan asserted. “Ask her if she even knows the full form of NEET. She wouldn’t know. She should apologise to the entire Gen Z.”

The backlash follows Kangana Ranaut’s direct attack on female protesters, whom she accused of lacking social contribution and misusing parental support.

“India is a place of diversely beautiful people, draped in elegance and rooted in cultural sophistication,” Kangana Ranaut maintained. “You call yourself cockroaches and look/behave like them as well. There is no paradox or juxtaposition there, just simply subjecting the world to your filth, garbage and ugliness.”
