Prime Minister Grants Relief Funds Following Udhampur Tragedy

Financial aid sanctioned for kin of deceased and survivors of Jammu and Kashmir crash

Udhampur, April 20: Following the tragic road mishap in Udhampur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned an ex-gratia payment of ₹2 lakh for the families of the deceased. The Prime Minister also declared that ₹50,000 would be allotted to every person injured in the accident that occurred earlier today.

The funds will be disbursed from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to provide immediate financial stability to the affected families. The Prime Minister asserted that the loss of life in the Ram Nagar area was deeply distressing and extended his thoughts to the grieving community.

In a public message, the Prime Minister’s Office affirmed that he was saddened by the accident involving the passenger bus. He declared that his heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones in the incident.

“I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” the Prime Minister maintained. He stated that the administration is working to provide all possible assistance to the survivors.

Authorities noted that the relief measures are being processed immediately to ensure the families of the 15 deceased and the 20 injured receive the promised support without delay.
