CHANDIGARH, MAY 17 — The Aam Aadmi Party expanded its political footprint in the Majitha region on Saturday as several prominent leaders from the Congress party formally severed their old ties to join the ruling organization.
The political transition took place during an official gathering where Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann personally greeted the new inductees. Among those transitioning into the party folds were key regional political workers Parmjeet Singh Pamma, Palwinder Singh Pali, Jagdeep Singh Goga, Apramdeep Singh Appu, and Amandeep Singh, with local party coordinator Talbir Singh Gill present to facilitate the welcoming process.
Party coordinators stated that the shift underscores a changing trend in regional public sentiment toward development initiatives. Chief Minister Mann declared that the citizens of Punjab are choosing a political path centered on progress and civic advancement. He maintained that the collective experience of the new members from Majitha will bring a major boost to the party’s local operations, allowing them to collaborate more effectively on state growth.
The move is seen by local observers as a substantial organizational transition that could impact future electoral campaigns in the district. Addressing the gathering, Talbir Singh Gill stated that the political standing of the Congress in Majitha has diminished significantly, and the addition of these active, hardworking figures has made the ruling party’s local framework considerably more resilient.
Following the ceremony, the new members conveyed their commitment to the welfare programs established by the state executive. The group of inducted leaders expressed their appreciation to Chief Minister Mann and vowed to dedicate themselves entirely to reinforcing the party structure throughout the constituency.
