Says initiative provides blueprint for other states

Gannavaram, May 19: India’s first open-access quantum hardware system has successfully commenced operations in Andhra Pradesh, establishing a new benchmark for the nation’s scientific and industrial capabilities.

The technological asset, known as the Amravati Quantum Reference Facilities, was reviewed by Member of Parliament Satnam Singh Sandhu during an official visit to Gannavaram. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended the special invitation to showcase the newly installed “Amravati 1Q” module at Medha Towers.

Operating at an ultra-cryogenic temperature of minus 273 degrees Celsius, the system functions as a specialized testbed to evaluate and certify domestic quantum components. Current development timelines indicate that the collaborative initiative, which involves major corporate entities like L&T, TCS, and IBM, aims to deliver a completed quantum computer by December 2026.

After reviewing the absolute-zero engineering setup, Sandhu declared that the project charts a significant path forward for national innovation and economic reform. He affirmed that the establishment of this tech hub serves as a powerful model for generating modern employment.

“There is a dire need to draw a high-tech vision on this line for the economy, industrial structure and the bright future of the youth of Punjab,” Sandhu declared.

The parliamentarian added that implementing a modern, technology-based blueprint on a similar scale would allow traditional economic sectors to evolve. He asserted that adopting these advanced frameworks could transform regional economies into leading technological strongholds.
