Amritsar, June 30: A comprehensive review will be launched by the Punjab Government to evaluate the proposed amendments received from Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema announced that the supreme temporal seat of the Sikhs has granted the state administration a period of one month to closely examine the suggestions and implement an appropriate, well-deliberated decision.

The commitment follows a solemn gathering at the complex in Amritsar, where state ministers and legislators paid their respects at Sri Harmandir Sahib before presenting themselves before the clergy. The leadership declared that the forthcoming legislative review would be conducted with complete openness and structured communication.

“Once the proposed amendments are received from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the government will examine them in detail and, after due deliberation, take an appropriate decision,” Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema asserted. He noted that the official communications regarding the updates would be formally channeled to all concerned parties through the Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.

The peaceful atmosphere of the meeting reflected the deep-rooted spiritual values shared by the state’s representatives. While the specifics of the dialogue remain confidential to preserve institutional protocols, the delegation expressed optimism regarding the collaborative path forward.

Reflecting on the audience with the clergy, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan affirmed that the matters discussed would be conveyed directly to the government channels for proper administrative consideration. He added that the opportunity to interact constructively with the Jathedar Sahib was a matter of great privilege for the visiting lawmakers.
