Jodhpur, July 4: The state’s commercial landscape received a substantial boost following the simultaneous launch of Jodhpur Airport’s new passenger terminal and an overhauled domestic flight connectivity program. The newly opened terminal, covering an expansive twenty-three thousand square meters, introduces high-capacity transport infrastructure designed to comfortably accommodate twenty lakh passengers on an annual basis. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma joined federal leaders during the unveiling ceremony, which sets the stage for a massive ₹1.06 lakh crore investment package spanning multiple public utility and development sectors in Balotra.

The newly constructed facility balances modern traveler amenities with a deep respect for historical regional designs, utilizing traditional arches and ornamental windows throughout the building. Officials stated that the project prioritizes long-term ecological sustainability, relying on green building practices to minimize resource consumption. On the policy front, the modified aviation program introduces strategic components meant to create a stable, self-sustaining transport network that ties smaller municipalities directly into major commercial centers.

The Prime Minister’s Office affirmed that the newly implemented connectivity framework represents a significant transformation in the nation’s civil aviation landscape.

The administration declared that the comprehensive financial strategy, which sets aside ₹28,840 crore over a ten-year horizon, is specifically tailored to sustain affordable travel. Spokespersons maintained that the dual approach of upgrading city terminals while subsidizing regional routes ensures that the benefits of rapid infrastructure development reach the common citizen directly.
