Chandigarh, August 6: State industrial policy and merit-based recruitment drives have driven significant employment generation across Punjab over the last four and a half years, according to details presented in the state assembly.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora maintained during house proceedings that substantial investment inflows amounting to ₹1,83,837 crore have helped build a resilient economic environment, contrasting current progress with the policies of previous administrations.
“The fundamental duty of a government is to construct an ecosystem where every young person can gain skill-based economic independence,” stated Aman Arora while responding to questions regarding job placement distribution.
The administration highlighted that dedicated job fairs and skill development initiatives have facilitated over 22 lakh youth through training and placement exercises. Officials affirmed that investment expansion by major manufacturing entities demonstrates rising confidence in Punjab as a reliable destination for enterprise and employment.
